Okay, don't laugh. It's my RMC/BAP weekend on Facebook and the theme for this weekend is Holiday/Seasonal stitching. I have had a side project I've been working on that has an Easter theme and I fully intended to work on it. In fact, it's sitting close by right now. I pulled it out to work on it. Then, I worked on moving things in my craft room. I came across a loose chart and decided it would be a good one to blog about today. Then, when I sat down with it, I realized it was fully kitted. I had purchased the chart, fabric and Gloriana flosses at The Old Mill Stitchery when it was closing. I couldn't find all the charted colors so I had chosen substitutes I liked. I pulled out everything and marked them on the chart. Then I bagged all the colors. It's a lovely Spring chart. My fingers started itching and that was it. I started it and worked on it for most of the day.
I started with the outside border. After I had most of one of the longer sides, I saw that I was supposed to be stitching it in Long Arm Cross. I wasn't about to frog what I'd just stitched so I decided to stitch the outside border in regular cross stitch and the inner borders in Long Arm Cross. I think it looks fine. When I finished the borders, I just had to put in the bunnies and the hearts. It's a pretty good day's work. I really like the project. It's full of fun stitches and sweet colors.

Isn't it sweet? I will love working on this one. It should be finished fairly quickly ~ but don't quote me on that!

So far I'm really liking your version over the charted one!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tiff! With the Mill closing, I got the Glorianas at a reduced price so I chose what I liked to fill in where there were missing colors. I'm hoping it all works out in the end!
