Irish Blessing
Nancy Rossi
Happy St. Patrick's Day! I chose this project today for obvious reasons. But, as usual, there is a story behind it. I have always been a singer. I sing most often at church. Growing up, my favorite choral benediction was the Old Irish Blessing. The arrangement was beautiful and always sounded like I imagined the wind, sun and rain must feel in Ireland. It was a wonderful comforting song with heart wrenching harmonies throughout.
I've had this project in my stash for a long, long time. I will not be using the fabric since it's Aida. I'm not sure if I should replace it with white linen or change to a colored linen. I'm leaning toward a blue linen so I would have the sky showing through in the upper portion of the project. What color would you choose?
Laura :)
I think a very pale blue would be lovely! I feel about sheep the way you feel about rabbits--never met one I didn't love!
ReplyDeleteLOL That's how Nancy is, too!
DeleteBlue fabric would look really nice, although it may mean you have to stitch the sheep in white too? They look unstitched in the photo.
ReplyDeleteThey were actually stitched already with white and touches of gray for some definition. I may decide to stitch the sheep in Wisper, though. I have both white and gray.
