March 2, 2017

Today was such a fun day at school. This is Dr. Suess Read a Book week. Today we celebrated by dressing as characters from Dr. Suess books. My group dressed as One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. We were a huge hit with the students.

Today's project is one of my favorite types. It's a needle roll from Shepherd's Bush. I've actually already stitched it once and then gave it as a gift. This project has it all - beautiful
fabric, floss, beads, charm, flat lace, ribbon, and hearts in the different bands. Add in simple finishing and it's a hit! So, a little attention and I could have another needle roll for my collection.

  1. I have quite a few needle Rolls in my stash, including a few from Shepherd's Bush. I had an ambition to do a basketful for display at one point, but haven't started yet...

One Fish, Two Fish was brilliant!

  2. Pat, I've stitched 7 or 8 needle rolls. I really enjoy them. They do make a beautiful display.

We were like rock stars! The kids loved the shirts.
