Calico Sampler No. 1
The 2012 Sampler
Summer House Stitche Workes
146 x 470
30 ct Straw linen from Weeks Dye Works
GAST flosses

After weeks of gorgeous weather, we woke to snow today. Not serious snow, it wasn't sticking to anything but the grass, but enough to make the roads wet. It was coat weather this morning. This has definitely been a weird winter for us. It has just never gotten cold and stayed that way long enough to kill allergens and bugs. The summer could be interesting!

Today I chose The 2012 Sampler from Summer House. I love the lettering style and the different patterns around the letters. I even bought the fabric to work this sampler. I haven't bought the floss. I keep thinking that I'd like to change the colors. I want to personalize them to fit my favorites. That would change them to more of a Spring/Summer feel instead of a Fall theme. I've put off starting this project because I'm not quite sure what I want my color palette to be. I think this probably calls for a dive into my floss stash. Since I'm cleaning out my room to do some rearranging, this would be the perfect time to figure this out. It should be fun!!

Have a great weekend!

Laura :)

    1. It is fun! Right now it's such a mess but I know it will be worth it in the end. I still have color choices floating around in my mind.
