Welcome to my new blog home. I'll be adding lots of stitching photos as I close out my old Multiply blog and move everything. Then, I'll have more to post once I work on newer projects. We were chatting today and Nancy, my sister, showed a photo of one of her projects. I noticed a tab at the top titled 'Gifts From Laura'. I opened it and looked at all the things that I've stitched for her over the years. Among those was a series of chickens from the old Cross Stitch and Country Crafts magazine. I only stitched two of the chickens because, 1) my subscription ran out and 2) I was still an Aida stitcher at that point and these patterns had tons of fractional stitches. They were referred to as "those da** chickens" while I was stitching and the name stuck. They're even listed on Nancy's site with that name! Anyway, it made me think of all the things I've stitched along the way. What kinds of things have I forgotten that I even stitched? My stitching used to be mainly for gift giving. I'm sure that, while most gifts were appreciated, there are some that probably made a garage sale pile or got pitched in the trash. That makes me a little sad but I know that everything I stitched was made with love so I'll have to choose to believe that someone, somewhere is loving them.
Until next time!
